a long lost girls trip in solvang

It’s been exactly one year since we had this girls trip … HA! I guess we need to go on another one again!

We went to Solvang and Santa Barbara… did some wine tasting, ate some Danish food, went on a biking excursion (not recommended when you’re wine tasting), and stayed at some pretty cute inns.

Enjoy!

Yvonne

spring-like day in santa cruz

IMG_2562.jpg

well, hello there.

it’s been a while since i’ve posted anything. i think i had been overwhelmed with all the photos i took from peru and wanting so bad to tell a story, that it kind of halted all posts… then summer hit, and fall, and the winter holidays, then snowboarding… and my photo folder was growing and growing.

maybe it’s because i started to do Lumosity every morning for the past 3 weeks or what, but i feel as though i lit a fire under my ass because i want to start sharing more of my photos, and blogging more consistently,  and hopefully i won’t get  hung up on project details.

so, here are some photos i took on a beautiful, sunny day in santa cruz back in february. it’s been pretty dry in the bay area for the last month and half (sadly), but i got some wonderful photos of the the santa cruz beach boardwalk. the colors just popped after the morning haze burned off.

enjoy! yvonne

p.s. i’ll probably be posting some random photos from the last year or so that i’ve wanted to share forever.

hey ya’ll heyy

taken at  Almaden Quicksilver County Park a few weeks ago.

so, obviously i haven’t posted too much since the new year. i’m trying to rethink how i want to use this blog in my life. do i want to use it professionally, for fun, for random posts, for a portfolio… WHAT!? i’m trying to hunker down and really think what i want to do with this thing and really work at it, and develop it into a style and have theme that will make me want to get up every morning and blog.it’s been difficult for me to concentrate at home, too, because everything in the new duplex is still in disarray from the January move. UGH!

anyway, i’m getting back into photography, and have been shooting a lot more during our hikes, so i hope to post those photos soon. you can check out a few of my snapshots on my Instagram feed on statigram: http://statigr.am/designshindig.
this past weekend, a couple of my girlfriends and i went to Solvang and Santa Barbara where we ate Danish food, drank a bit too much wine (just kidding, there is no such thing) and did a bunch of shopping. those photos to come too!
anyway, hope to post more soon!!
xoxo,

Instagram & Blurb Photo Book I

So finally, here’s my Instagram and Blurb photo book that I ordered back in July. I’m already want to make a few more for Christmas. I love this little book because I was finally able to look at these photos on print, and NOT just online. All I need to do now is get that iPhone 4s  so that my photo quality is a bit better. Enjoy the images:
